| Most unique school memory: Hmmm... One of them surely is: History with Mr. Behrendt. A number of us got increasingly fed up with his "scoring" system and his other teaching methods, leading to increasingly vocal group objections during the quarter. I think we fought him to a draw by the end of it! | |
| What would people be surprised to know about you?: I founded, then led for 12 years, the Secular Humanist Society of Chicago. There are a number of Secular Humanist Societies both in the U.S. and abroad. | |

| Please share a favorite high school memory?: As I (continue to) get older, I look back and realize that the truly diverse set of students at West - kids from all walks of life, learning together more or less - probably prepared us better for the adult life we were headed towards than many other schools could have. And I'm grateful for that! | |
