Life at Staples was hardly perfect but I do have many fond memories. What stands out the most for me are the wonderful friendships from those days that have remained strong all these decades later.

After going to college in Denver and settling down in the mountains of Colorado for a while where my late husband and I had several galleries, we moved back to Westport where we raised 2 kids. Both kids live nearby along with my 5 year old granddaughter. I've been selling Real Estate since the 1980s and continue to be an active agent. I know that the town has changed, not all for the better, but I really do still love it here. I ignore the more obnoxious aspects and I am especially grateful for frequent walks at Compo Beach at the end of the day and other simple pleasures.

We moved to GA about 10 years ago after 29 years in MN where we raised our 2 children. We divide our time between Charlotte, NC where our son and his family live and Des Moines, IA where our daughter and her family reside. We have 5 grandkids and enjoy spending time with them!

After Staples, I earned my BA at Kenyon College, pursuing a major in drama that included a semester at the National Theatre Institute at the O'Neil Center in Waterford, CT, where I ran in to Jon Diamond and Tom Hunter. I followed college with a program at the Hartman Theatre Conservatory in Stamford, CT. I enjoyed a successful ten-year career in professional theatre as a director, playwright, stage manager, actor and designer, working at a number of theatres, among them: The Great Lakes Shakespeare Festival (Cleveland, OH), The Hartman Theatre (Stamford, CT), Trinity Square Rep (Providence, RI), NewStage Theatre (Jackson, MS), The People’s Theatre (Cambridge, MA), The Charles Playhouse (Boston, MA), and The Lexington Conservatory Theatre (Lexington, NY).

Around 1986 my day job took over, and since then, while raising a family, I've been a consultant in healthcare information technology--a career that has included much domestic and international travel. I'm looking forward to re-invigorating my theatrical interests during retirement. I'm finally old enough to play all those character parts that I was cast in during high school and college.

In the 11th grade at Staples I took an art metals class taught by Mr. Ponte. I learned how to make jewelry using precious metals and I was hooked! In 1978 I moved to San Francisco and attended The Revere Academy of Jewelry Arts. For the next 40 years I have worked as a bench jeweler, especially enjoying antique restoration.

I continue to work because I enjoy it. Started out as a trainee with Marriott; working through the ranks to include regional and executive positions. Moved on to Hotel Acquisitions & Development with Mass Mutual and ultimately to my current position with the Steinbrenner Hotel Group. Along the way, acquired a country inn with my father (Lucerne Inn/Dedham, ME), married three times (and yes, divorced three times). Very late in life I got involved in community theatre; performing in various supporting roles. For amusement, I do side gigs as "Elwood" Blues (along with "Jake") at a variety of venues.

I never meant to end up living abroad, but here I am, still in Denmark after almost 40 years. I miss CT, old friends and my family, but life here has been good. Making a living as an actor, puppeteer, and then Sign Language interpreter has been incredibly challenging to do in Danish, but also really really rewarding. I'm retired, but still interpret a bit and am getting back into theater again.
My partner, Erik, (not technically married but together 33 years) and I live across the street from each other in Copenhagen and share a tiny summer house cabin north of the city. Works for us!
I'm really looking forward to hanging out with you all :)

After college, could not find a job as a fine artist - go figure - so went to Katie Gibbs secretarial school for college graduates (with Pam Jones) and got a job at Coates & Clark. Met husband #1, changed jobs to Wahlstrom & Co, a Yellow Pages ad agency in Stamford where I eventually start their art department. 11 years go by while I get divorced and meet husband #2 at Josiah’s. Move to South Jersey and run the art and marketing dept for the local paper, The Press of Atlantic City for 20 years. As newspapers decline, get let go then freelance, then start all over in healthcare. 10 years later, planning to retire and do things I love. Can’t wait to party and reminisce with all of you!

I've been running my own small business for the past 44 years, the first 10 as an animation production studio in NYC and the rest as a computer consultant/developer in New York's Hudson Valley.

I'm fortunate to have a brother with a sailboat at Cedar Point Yacht Club so I get to Westport fairly regularly in summer for racing.

I've been a lifelong lover of the arts. As a singer, dancer and actor, I've performed my entire life, supplementing my craft by working for the Department of Defense in Denver, CO and Wash, DC in the late '70s; as a finance and general manager in the auto industry in Lakewood and Littleton, CO in the '80s; as an administrative manager for a chiropractic clinic in Edina, MN for 17 years; and as an artistic director, executive producer and director of performing arts in Minneapolis, MN for 18 years. Reunited with classmate Brian Keane in 2010 and been together ever since. Co-chairs Joanne Romano-Csonka, Tucker Sweitzer and I are committed to making this a reunion for the record books. Looking forward to seeing everyone Sept 30-Oct 2!

After 26 years as an IT developer/maintainer/project manager, followed by 15 years teaching math, I am now happily retired and living on the beach in Connecticut with my wife of 43 years, Cheryl (Hannert, Staples class of 1972). We have two children and 5 grandchildren, all living in Connecticut, so we can visit them often.

Just celebrated my 69th birthday. The older I get, the more I learn. So far I’m still remembering the important things!

Finally becoming a senior at Staples was so exciting with the prospect of graduating and really accomplish something in life.

My muse was the breakwater (by the cannons) at Compo Beach. Spending hours contemplating the changing sky and rhythm of Long Island Sound with thoughts of a far off future.

Now I sit on the front porch in my rocking chair surrounded by sky and trees contemplating those dreamy Long Island Sound days of time gone by.

I always wondered if I would be “rocking out” as an old lady to Purple Haze. Lol. And indeed I am.
