Just celebrated my 69th birthday. The older I get, the more I learn. So far I’m still remembering the important things! Finally becoming a senior at Staples was so exciting with the prospect of graduating and really accomplish something in life. My muse was the breakwater (by the cannons) at Compo Beach. Spending hours contemplating the changing sky and rhythm of Long Island Sound with thoughts of a far off future. Now I sit on the front porch in my rocking chair surrounded by sky and trees contemplating those dreamy Long Island Sound days of time gone by. I always wondered if I would be “rocking out” as an old lady to Purple Haze. Lol. And indeed I am. |
