John Franks

John B. Franks was a musician, a composer and a lawyer. He attended the Ohio State University Law School as a scholarship student.
He had been a drummer with a number of bands, including Sandbridge, Paradise, Kick and Beau Coup. As a lawyer, he specialized in worker’s compensation with the Risiko/IAB firm.
Mr. Franks died of what is believed to have been a heart attack at his home in Mayfield Heights on Saturday. He was 42.
He was born in Cleveland and was a 1973 graduate of St. Joseph High School. He earned a bachelor’s degree at Cleveland State University with cum laude honors and was given the Auerbach Memorial Scholarship Award. He belonged to the Phi Theta Kappa, Go...
