1936-01-19 2016-09-10Gerry Dwyer, age 80, of Wickliffe passed away September 10, 2016 at home surrounded by his wife and children after a six year battle with a form of ALS. Born January 19, 1936 in Bronx, NY, he is preceded in death by his parents Thomas and Emma (Fuerst) and brothers Tom, Lester, and Paul. Gerry enjoyed working on model trains, spending time with family, and watching movies with his surround sound system on full blast. Gerry was a retired school teacher who influenced the lives of thousands of students during his 50 year teaching career at both St. Joseph High School and Lake Catholic High School. Edward W. Esch, 69, of Euclid, passed away April 11, 2012, at Euclid Hospital.
He was born June 1, 1942, in Cleveland.
He was a U.S. Army veteran, enjoyed gardening, loved spending time with his grandchildren, was a frequent patron of the library and active in the community and Our Lady of the Lake Parish.
Mr. Esch was a teacher and coach at St. Joseph High School and Cleveland Heights High School.

Bernie Guilfoyle had 200 varsity basketball victories under his belt when he quit coaching to become the athletic director at St. Joseph High School in 1967.
None was quite as sweet as the 200th, when the Vikings upset a highly rated East High team, 59-56, in the Eastlake North Class AAA sectional tournament final in February 1967.
A few days before the crucial game, Mr. Guilfoyle suffered an acute kidney stone attack and was admitted to Euclid-Glenville Hospital. The stone was removed the day of the game, and Mr. Guilfoyle left his hospital bed that evening to provide the inspiration for the team’s dramatic triumph.

Jerry J. Intorcio, age 83, beloved husband, father and brother passed away peacefully on October 18, 2010 in Denver, Colorado. At his side, were his three children. A Cleveland native, he graduated from Collinwood High School in February 1945. Soon thereafter, he was drafted into the U.S. Army during WWII.
