Tom Hockom

Tom died at age 18 in a construction accident while apprenticing as an electrician in Larimer County during our Junior year. On his tombstone is engraved these song lyrics: "Though they may be parted...there is still a chance that they shall see. There will be an answer...Let it Be."
I was a good friend of Tom and his girlfriend, Ellyn. I still remember the day we heard about Tom’s death, it was such a shock. I remember going over County Line road, way too fast, in his car. It was like we were flying. He was very smart, fun and had a great spirit.
