Donna Carboni
1956-06-24 2023-11-22Donna graduated from Colorado State University and worked in the Interior design and commercial flooring industries before moving to Kansas City, MO. She later assisted her husband, Steve, in the family business at Shupe-Carboni and Associates. She attended Church of the Resurrection in Leawood, Kansas.
Donna enjoyed playing golf with her friends at Council Fire, but what she enjoyed more than anything was spending time with her family, especially her grandkids. She loved to travel with her husband, but her favorite place was their condominium in Kansas City, Missouri where she could spend time with her family.
Donna’s light shined on everyone she met. She was able to find Hope and Joy in every situation she encountered and had the unique ability to lift up others. In every aspect of her life she defined Grace and Style.
Survivors include her loving husband of 25 years, Steve Carboni; children, Lauren (Chris) Dawson, Chad (Katie) Pederson; step-children, Karen Carboni, Lyndie (Jon) Kuelz, Joe (Chelsea) Carboni; 9 grandchildren, Will, Claire and Gavin Dawson, Blake and Elliott Pederson, Oscar and Beatrice Kuelz, Salem and Felix Carboni; mother, Evelyn Galli; and sister, Phyllis Loftsgard.
Donna was a close friend of mine in high school and for many years after up until her death. We shared the birth of our children, many fun times raising them, and many more fun times traveling and visiting. She battled hard against cancer and I truly admired her strength and resolve. I miss you Donna, I still can see your smiling face❤️
tribute by Chris Metro StaleyWe called Donna Galli- Donna Lou - it fit perfectly. Snot sure I ever saw her mad. She always had a smile on her face. We missed having her around when she left Colorado to go off to Kansas and then to Tennessee. She came back to visit family and if we were lucky we got to visit for a bit. We were so sad to hear she had brain cancer and cried when we heard she had passed away. Truly this world is not as beautiful without her in it. Miss you Donna Teri Sinopoli
