Bruce G. Greene, 61, of Lakewood, CO, passed away on Tuesday, March 20, 2018, surrounded by his loving family. Bruce was born on June 6, 1956, in Denver, CO to Louise (Zanon) and Robert Greene.

He attended Thomas Jefferson High School in Denver and graduated with the class of 1974. After graduation, he completed courses in Aircraft Airframe and Aircraft General and Power Plant Mechanics at the Emily Griffith Opportunity School from 1975-76. In 1983, he satisfactorily completed the Field Training Course by the Bell Helicopter Textron Training Center.

On June 11, 1994, Bruce married Gail Jacobsen in Golden, CO. They made their home in Lakewood, CO. Their daughter, Galena was born on September 30, 1995.

Over the years, Bruce worked in the aviation field for Hosking Exploration Helicopters of Salt Lake City as a helicopter mechanic, Mato Insulation Co., and was a 27-year employee of Republic Services of Commerce City, CO.

Bruce was an avid Jeep enthusiast. He enjoyed 4-wheeling, racing, and repairing Jeeps. He owned several models with plans to restore his favorite Jeep. In his spare time, he enjoyed camping, ATVing, and fishing in the Colorado mountains with his family and friends. Bruce was an accomplished hunter and loved the outdoors. Annual hunting trips were spent with his brother Randy and sister-in-law Rhonda tracking bear, deer, turkey, and elk.

Bruce enjoyed watching Old Western shows, sitcoms, and The Three Stooges. Bruce, Gail, and Galena enjoyed several family trips including Caribbean cruises, Yellowstone National Park, and Alaska. Bruce was cheerful, caring, thoughtful, and a friend to many. Bruce cared deeply for his family, as Galena was "his pride and joy."

Bruce is survived by his wife, Gail; daughter, Galena; mother, Louise; and brother, Randy (Rhonda) Greene. Nephews, Randy, Jr., Ryan (Ashlie), Everett, and niece, Rachel Greene.
Bruce was preceded in death by his father, Robert; grandparents Olive and Rudy Zanon and Charlotte and Frank Greene.

A memorial service was held on Thursday, March 29th at the Archdiocese of Denver Mortuary in the chapel. A private cremation ash burial followed the memorial service.
