Beloved son of Arthur and Gertrude (dec) Meyers, stepson of Joy Romero Meyers, husband of Melissa Floyd Meyers, father of Michael Joseph Meyers (Jay Scharf), Megan Jean Bernadette Meyers (Daniel Schrader), grandfather of Felix Prince Schrader (dec) and Simon Michael Schrader.
Mike devoted his Life to hard work, family, and friends and excelled at these. His fierce determination to remain active and independent during his last year of Life surpassed all expectations.
A man’s successes come in many forms - Mike’s was a circle of love around him as he drew his last breaths.
Funeral service will be held at 10am on Friday, March 22, St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 2375 E. Arizona Ave, Denver. In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial donations to Children’s Hospital Colorado Foundation (13123 East 16th Avenue, Box 045 Aurora, CO 80045 or www.childrenscoloradofoundation.org) for use in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Donations can be made in memory of Mike’s “wingman” Felix Prince Schrader. Or to Canine Companions for Independence (126 East Las Animas Street, Colorado Springs, CO 80903 or www.cci.org).
