Cheryl S Robish, nee Samek, of Lombard; beloved wife of Larry Robish; compassionate daughter of Ellen Samek and the late Thomas; devoted and loving mother of Leslie Geberbauer (Joe Prokop) and Christine Geberbauer (Daniel Creighton); dear sister of Pam Gatewood (Cecil) and Tom (Michele); adoring aunt to Debbie, Brian, Tommy and Justine; generous friend to those near and far.

Cheryl's passion for teaching others, her love of gardening and for life in general will not be forgotten.

Ellen E. Schade Lambert, 58, Bourbonnais, died Sunday (Jan. 9, 2011) at her home.

A memorial service was held Wednesday at St. John’s United Church of Christ, where she was a member.

She was born Nov. 8, 1952, in Elmhurst, the daughter of Rudolf and Hanna Schade.

Surviving are her husband, Greg Lambert, whom she married April 12, 1997, at St. John’s United Church of Christ in Kankakee; one daughter and son-in-law, Laura and Paul Page of St. Anne; two stepsons, Mark Lambert of Atlanta, Ga., Kevin Lambert of Manteno; three stepdaughters, Lisa (Lee) Bauer of Bonfield, Brooke Lambert of Wilmington, Kelly Lambert of Peotone; and six step-grandchildren...

On Friday, August 24, 2018, William Schmidt, loving husband and father of two sons, passed away at the age of 65.

William was born on September 30, 1952 in Elmhurst, IL to Howard and Nan (Agnes Woods) Schmidt. Bill was a Field Service Engineer for 32 years in the semiconductor industry. His job allowed him to travel throughout the world. On December 13, 1980 he married the love of his life, Christine (Bell) Schmidt. They raised two sons, Alec and Sam, of whom he was so proud.

Bill had a passion for camping, hiking, spending time in the woods, and was a die-hard Cubs fan. When he wasn’t in the woods, he nurtured the abundance of plants in his garden and used care...

Gwen Ellen Sessions Glanville was born into this world on May 25, 1952 to George and Helen Sessions. Gwen was one of three children, along with Bruce and Gayle. They grew up in the suburbs of Chicago, and she eventually left home to start her life of adulthood.

Gwen met Jim and eventually married him in 1974. They lived in Carbondale, Illinois for a few years with many of their great friends. After a visit to Southern Arizona, they decided to pack up and head west in 1978. Gwen and Jim both enjoyed the no-snow winters and abundance of sunshine, especially Gwen, for she will always be a ray of sunshine to all who knew her.

Barbara Furst of Bloomfield died Oct. 8, 2010. She was born in Chicago.

Ms. Furst was a graphic artist for the Nasswalk Company.

She is survived by her daughter, Alexandra, and her brother, Michael Shapiro.

Services were held Oct. 10 with arrangements By J.L. Apter Memorial Chapels in Cedar Grove.

Linda Shunneson Adams, 71, passed away peacefully on Ash Wednesday, February 14, 2024. Her husband of 51 years and family were by her side. 

Born August 5, 1952, in Chicago, IL, as the first of four children to Doris W. and Glenn A. Shunneson, Linda moved to Dallas, TX to attend Southern Methodist University where she met and married Donald C. Adams. She received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Texas, Arlington and Masters of Music from Texas Woman's University.

Kelly Lee Sill, 70 of Evanston, passed away at his home. He was born March 2, 1952 in Fargo, North Dakota, the son of Kenneth Sill and Vila Sill, nee Seidel. He grew up in Elmhurst, IL.

Kelly was a mainstay of the Chicago jazz scene for more than 35 years. After receiving his bachelor's degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, he returned to the Chicago area.
