Mr. John Duffie Baker II, age 56, of Colleyville, Texas passed away on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at a local hospital while surrounded by many family and friends in the days leading to his death. He left behind a loving family and many lifelong friends who will forever remember him as a kind, generous and caring father, son, brother, partner and friend.
A service honoring John will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Hurst, 1801 N. Norwood Drive, Hurst TX 76054.

Sally was born Jan. 10, 1943, in Texarkana, Texas, to the late Mary F. Hall Day and Horace A. Day. She was a former member of St. James Episcopal Church in Texarkana. She was a former Miss Texarkana contestant in the early '60s and had the opportunity to perform as a talented pianist.

Jimmy Dale Chance, age 87, passed away on March 19, 2024 in Bedford, TX.
He was born on February 2, 1938, in Wilson, Oklahoma, to Boyet and Ruth Chance. He graduated as valedictorian of Zaneis High School in May, 1956. After high school, he graduated from Southeastern Oklahoma State University, where he met the love of his life and future wife, Leah Hayes. They were married on May 31, 1963, and soon moved to the Hurst-Euless-Bedford, Texas area to teach. He taught math at L.D. Bell High School in the H-E-B I.S.D. for thirty years.

Bedford, Texas - Billy Dwayne Dean passed away peacefully at home Sunday April 23rd, 2023.
Billy graduated from L.D. Bell High School in 1985, he was a German Linguist in the U.S. Army, and a dedicated Aircraft Mechanic and Union Steward with American Airlines for over 30 years where he made many close friends. He was a devoted husband, father, son and grandfather. Billy loved music, playing guitar and reading Stephen King novels. He enjoyed watching the Dallas Stars, Texas Rangers and "most of the time" the Dallas Cowboys. He had a great sense of humor and never met a stranger.

Keith grew up in Hurst and attended L.D. Bell High School and Southwest Texas State University. He married his high school sweetheart on July 8, 1989, and resided in Grapevine with his family. He was a longtime IBM employee and wonderful friend and teacher to all.

In July 2007, that's when Chief Warrant Officer Hankins reported to his final duty station, training support center, San Diego. Van Kiser forged deep bonds with many he encountered during his adventure laden life. He carried a spiritual piece of each friend with him on his travels, and left his own mark upon the soul of each path he crossed. He has been a child, student, scholar, warrior, dragon slayer, dragon, pirate, poet and parent in the different stages of his life.
