Max Gilbert “JR” Ornelas, reported to his final duty station on November 26 2022 at the age of 69. He passed away peacefully at home after a lengthy battle with service-related liver failure.
He was born October 28 1953 in Denver, Colorado, the son of Max Ornelas and Genoveva Bella Munoz. He spent his 17th birthday on the yellow steps of Marine Corps Camp Pendleton. He went on to serve five years in the USMC. He is a veteran of the Vietnam War. He was honorably discharged in 1975. Soon after on January 28, 1978, he married his now-former wife Cathy Ornelas. Kathy Gardner, 69, of Loveland, Colorado unexpectedly passed away in her home March 14, 2023. She was born on November 1st, 1953, to parents Eugene Gardner and Margaret Kraft.
Most of Kathy’s career was working for Hewlett Packard, however the last eight years she worked for the Governor’s Office of Information Technology, specifically within the Colorado Department of Transportation. During those eight years, she was awarded the Innovator Award as her ideas improved their IT systems which ultimately benefited customers of CDOT. Bruce Leonard Clark passed away unexpectedly January 28, 2015 in Newbury Park, California of a heart attack.
Bruce was born June 22, 1954 to Willard Leonard and Maurine Pedersen Clark. He was the first of 8 children raised by this family. At the age of 19, Bruce served a 2 year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Michigan Lansing Mission.
He attended high school at Loveland High School where he graduated in 1972. He played trumpet in the school band, was on the gymnastics team, and was a diver on the swim team.

Melody passed away peacefully at her Red Feather Lakes, Colorado home on Saturday, June 15th, 2024 with her loving husband, Rick, by her side. She was 70 years young.
Melody was a very compassionate and caring person who always put others before herself. She loved her husband, her boys, her grandchildren, and her dogs. She will be dearly missed.

David Brian Bernhardt, age 67, passed away on June 22, 2021. He was born January 26, 1954 in Loveland, Colorado to Leonard and Carolyn (Walker) Bernhardt. David graduated from Loveland High School in 1972 and went on to work for the Great Western Railroad. He later became a journeyman electrician with IBEW Local 68. Most of his career was spent with Sturgeon Electric. He was a loving father to his two daughters who were the most important part of his life.
