Robert (Bob) Wylie
1954-03-11 2024-02-24I finally had the guts to get on this site today almost 9 months after Robert passed away here at home from a massive heart attack brought on by a blood clot to his heart. He died here at home just right where he wanted to be. I know he didn't suffer, I was right there when it happened. I will live the rest of my life knowing that his last words to me were "I love you, I always have, and I always will." It brings me great comfort. Robert was in the Air Force and was part of the stateside support for those in combat zones in Vietnam. After his stint in the service, he had two great passions, fast cars, and all phases of home building. He did both! He built some of the most beautiful homes in Colorado mountains, and could re-build an engine, transmission, and drive line like no other. He raced quite a few times at Bandemier's and had a blast doing so. Sadly, because of a medic in the Air Force who didn't take Robert's injury to his ankle which was broken and never set, he later developed medical issues that plagued him right up to the end. Robert was the love of my life and I knew him for 55 years. We even had a son, Rick before we graduated from TJ. Our lives together were an adventure and filled with love between the two of us for all of those years. I miss him dearly, and I know he's in a better place. My world is empty, but, I have all of our memories to replay when I really miss him a lot.
