Glenn Anderson
1953-12-31 1993-11-02Glenn Lee Anderson 39, of Denver died Nov. 2 in Denver General Hospital. Service were Nov. 5 at Fitzsimons hospital chapel. The body was cremated. Mr. Anderson was born Dec. 31, 1953, in Memphis, Tenn. He was an insurance adjuster. Survivors include his parents, Gerald L. and Anna Jackie Anderson; and one sister, Nancy Lohmeyer. Contributions: Manic Depression Research, Colorado Psychiatric Hospital, Davis Center, 4200 E. Ninth Ave., Denver 80262.

Martha Winans (Argust)
1954-06-05 2020-04-25Martha Argust Winans passed away in April of 2022. Martha and her husband, Randy Winans, lived in Whittier, CA for many of their married years, where they both were teachers. After graduating from TJ, she studied social work at Willamette University in Salem, Oregon and earned a BA in elementary education in Montana. Martha also was the president of the teachers' association of the Whittier City School District. She retired from her beloved teaching career several years ago due to health issues. Martha was preceded in death by her husband, Randy Winans, and leaves seven sons, a daughter, and several grandchildren.

Thomas (Tom) Baxter, III
1953-11-14 2002-08-11Thomas passed away August 11, 2002. He was a CPA. He is survived by son, Thom Michael, mother, Shirley Baxter, brother Dan, sisters, Connie Clark and Sue Baxter, grandson, Skyler Baxter, and Julie Baxter. Jon Beck
1954-02-17 2011-10-30
SILT, Colorado – Police here are still waiting for autopsy and toxicology reports on Jon Beck, a Silt electrician found dead in a ditch on Oct. 30, but the investigation has yielded a partial story of Beck’s travels that weekend.
The photographic record from an automatic teller in Glenwood Springs showed Beck taking money out of an account that evening, Burris said, “So we know he was in Glenwood and had money in his pocket.”
Police believe Beck took a bus back from Glenwood Springs to Silt either that night or the next day, although they have not pinned down which bus he might have been on, Burris continued.

John Bramley
1954-03-17 2009-09-11John A. Bramley, 55, of Littleton, died while climbing Long’s Peak. Bramley is survived by his three daughters, Stephanie, Stacey and Rebecca; sister, Julie; and brother, Hardy. A CO native, Bramley was a graduate of TJ High School and CSU. John was passionate about running (31 year record holder of Mt. Evans ascent), hiking, and spending time with his daughters. Bramley loved his career as a longtime employee of Frontier Airlines. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The John Bramley Memorial Fund at First Bank of Arapahoe Co., 82805, Holly St., Centennial, CO 80122 to benefit the ongoing education of his daughters.

David Chapmon

On the wall behind me as I write this is a black-and-white photo of me and my staff during senior year in Army JROTC. I was fortunate to be the cadet battalion commander that year, and also fortunate to have some very good guys in the organization.
Dave is in that photo (as is Glenn Anderson, alas also deceased). We went through the program together, for 4 years. I remember Dave as unfailingly cheerful, idealistic, hardworking, and friendly. Nobody could shine shoes better, nor disassemble and reassemble an M1 rifle faster!
A couple of years later, when I was a plebe at the Naval Academy, he was nearby as an Air Force senior airman at Fort Meade, Maryland....

Jon (Jack) Cone
1953-12-23 2008-12-10
Jon Macy "Jack" Cone, 54, died suddenly Dec 10 in Denver.
He is survived by his parents, W. Henry Cone and Wilda L. Cone of Cortez, his sisters Polly Cone and husband John Neyenesch of San Diego, Calif., Carole Doolittle of Clearwater, Fla., and brother Bill Cone and wife Patsy of Cortez. In addition, he leaves four nieces and nephews: Craig Cone and wife Courtney of Austin, Texas, Brian Cone of Seattle, Wash., Sally Cone of Denver and Kristen Jarae and husband DJ of Myrtle Beach, S.C.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Denver Public Library, a source of joy for Jack throughout his life.
