On May 23, 1932, the late John and Mary Miller welcomed an early “Baby Boy Miller” into the family in Union Pariah, Louisiana. On August 7, 2020, Deacon Andrew “A.J.” Miller transitioned from labor to reward at the Willow Ridge Nursing Home of Arcadia, Louisiana.

A.J. Miller was educated in Lincoln Pariah in the Mount Harmony community and Lincoln High School. In 1955, Mr. Miller would marry the late Lenora D. “TIGHT Minniefield, to their union two children were born; LaWanda, who would transition in infancy, and Jeffery Lynn Miller, Sr. On April 24, 1982, Mr. Miller would join in marriage to Virginia Faye Lewis. Brother John Henry Mayfield was born to the late Henry H. and Minnie Lyons Mayfield on February 3, 1907. He was married to Mrs. Annie L. Roane Mayfield. To this union nine children were born, three boys and six girls. One daughter preceded him in death, Elizabeth Mayfield Sholars.

Deacon Mack Hillard Lewis was born in Vienna, Louisiana, August 1, 1942 to the late Brunner and Zola Hicks Lewis. He was the second of eight children. One brother, Spencer B. Lewis MD, preceded him in death.

Mack was educated in the Lincoln Parish School System where he graduated from Lincoln High School in 1960. He united with the Mount Harmony Missionary Baptist Church in 1949. He moved to California in 1960 where he lived for the next 35 years. While he was in California, he met and married Ms. Pamela Hays. To this union, three children were born.

Funeral services for Mr. Bruner Lewis, 84 of Grambling will be held on Saturday, at 11:00 A.M. at the Mt. Harmony Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Geanie Wills officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery under the direction of Our Christian Funeral Home of Ruston. Mr. Lewis died Friday, May 15, 1992, in North Monroe Community Hospital, Monroe, LA., following a lengthy illness.

Sister Annie Mae Lewis Johnson was born June 15, 1900. Her mother, Sister Susie Lewis and husband Jessie Johnson preceded her in death.

At an early age she united with the Mount Harmony Missionary Baptist Church. In 1943, she moved to Pine Bluff, Arkansas and united with a Baptist Church there and was a faithful member while there. She later returned to Ruston, Louisiana in 1958, and in 1962 reunited with the Mount Harmony Missionary Baptist Church and remained a faithful member until her passing on September 2, 1985 at 9:30 a.m.
