Great National History Day Project!
By: John Smith-Horn
Aricka, Kavya and Iris; three students from Timothy Edwards Middle School in South Windsor, Connecticut are headed to National History Day at the University of Maryland (College Park, Maryland) to enter their website in the Junior Group Website competition. National History Day {NHD}  begins on Sunday June 10, 2018 and concludes with the awards ceremony on the morning of Thursday June 14, 2018.  Their website: "Martha Minerva Franklin: Treating the Discrimination Disease" chronicles the life of an African-American woman, Martha Minerva Franklin who was born in New Milford, Connecticut in 1870 and graduated from Meriden High School {Meriden,CT}. After high school she attends the Women's Hospital Training School for Nurses in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In the early 1900's she investigates the discriminatory treatment of African American nurses and become the founder of the National Association of Colored Graduate Nurses [NACGN] in 1921. Meeting in annual conventions with African-American nurses from across the United States, Franklin works for equality in nursing. Learn more about Martha Minerva Franklin at the girls' website: In order for the girls to attend this competition, this fundraising site has been established to help defray the costs of travel; including all lodging, meals and transportation. In addition, Timothy Edwards Middle School is hosting a series of local fundraisers to help these three amazing students. Thank you in advance for your generous donation.

What Our Clients Say

We are launching our inaugural event to raise funds for water purification systems to be placed in third world villages. I needed a website built on top of a platform well suited for ticket sales and donations. After reviewing several SaaS providers, I chose Rob is a pleasure to work with and has a team that is responsive and inventive. I'll be using MyEvent for the many years to come.
