Walk a Mile in Their Shoes
By: Sonya Davis
On May 12, 2018, join your neighors at Barren County Board of Education for our 1st annual fundraiser to stop hunger in our community by supporting #BCReadsandFeeds.  This program is designed to eliminate hunger in the summer months when food can be scarce since children are not in school getting the benefits of a free breakfast and lunch.  In addition to having open cafeterias throughout Barren County, a big red bus travels to over 10 different locations to deliver breakfast, lunch, and free books for children of all ages.  Sponsored through the National Summer Feeding Program, the food is free...But, the bus, the books, & the sports/recreation equipment given to children at no charge are part of a larger community effort.  So, we need your support to help stop hunger and provide value experiences through reading and movement. Teaching English to Orphans
By: Kevin Rao
This summer, my fellowship and I will be embarking on a short-term volunteer trip. Our team will be headed to China from July 12-26. This will be an opportunity for us to serve the community, and teach English to Chinese orphans. The destination we are headed to is near Beijing, China's capital. Beijing has a rich history, and like many urban areas, it has to deal with pollution, joblessness and poverty. Beijing has a significantly vast immigration population but with limited English abilities. During our trip, we are partnering up with an organization called Living Hope International. This organization was originally started to assist children; children who have either been abandoned or orphaned by their parents; children who do not qualify for adoption in their native country. Since its founding in 2005, Living Hope International has brought nearly 195 children under its wing. We are very fortunate to be partnering up with this fantastic organization and we hope that together, we can experience the feeling of changing a life. As our team prepares for our trip, I ask you all to pray for us. We don't know exactly what to expect so please pray that God equips us with the wisdom, energy, and perseverance to do what he asks us to. Pray that our team will learn to work well together and with Living Hope International as we will be serving with in Beijing. Along with all of your prayers, I would also like to ask if you would consider supporting me financially. Each member of our team has to raise $500 to pay for our trip. The money will go towards our food, accommodations and supplies for the 2 weeks we are staying there. If you would like to support me please donate. Any donation would be a great help! Thank you for your prayers and support! Yours Truly, Kevin Rao

What Our Clients Say

H2OpenDoors

We are launching our inaugural event to raise funds for water purification systems to be placed in third world villages. I needed a website built on top of a platform well suited for ticket sales and donations. After reviewing several SaaS providers, I chose MyEvent.com. Rob is a pleasure to work with and has a team that is responsive and inventive. I'll be using MyEvent for the many years to come.
