Robert E. Herbin, was born March 11, 1955 to the late Marion V. Langford and Robert E. Herbin, Sr. Robert was born in Newport News, Virginia and attended Huntington High School and graduated from Warwick High School.
Robert graduated from Strayer University with a Master of Education degree. He also obtained his Bachelor in Business Administration. Robert served in the United States Army. He loved to play cards with his sisters, loved to dance, loved to dress. He was a Pittsburg Steelers fan.

Linda Carol Hess Burton, 66, of Portsmouth, VA passed away peacefully on October 13, 2022. Linda was the youngest of three children born to Margie Marie Elswick Hess and Garland Raleigh Hess, in Newport News, VA. She was a graduate of Warwick High School.
Linda met the love of her life, C. Charles Burton in Newport News, and they were married in 1973. They were both members of Nansemond River Baptist Church, and before that, members of Western Branch Baptist Church.

Cindy was born May 15, 1955 in Hampton, Va. at the original Mary Immaculate Hospital to Theresa K. Hill and the late George C. Hill, Sr.
Cindy was a devout member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church for the past 35 years. She was very active in the church. She went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 22, 2018 at 9:50 pm at Sentara Hospital in Hampton. Her Welcoming Committee in Heaven will be her mother, Sister Annie Hobbs, Paul Hobbs (father), Karl Jones (husband) and Paul "Buck" Hobbs, brother.

1955-11-02 2020-12-26Donald Y. Hodges Jr., of Hampton passed away December 26, 2020. He was born in Reidsville, N.C. on November 2, 1955 and was a resident of the Peninsula since 1970. Don graduated from Denbigh H. S. in 1973. He obtained two Bachelor of Science Degrees; one in Biology from William and Mary in 1977; and the other in Electrical Engineering from ODU in 1986. He worked 30 years as an Electrical Engineer for various contractors in support of NASA Langley. John was part of a group of seven guys who called ourselves by the meaningless name “The Phoonmen” (the others were myself, Don Hodges, Kevin Kachadourian, Jim Lindsay, Steve Perconte, Jim Wingo, and junior Walter Matthews) who hung out together and dreamed up ways to annoy the school administration. John was a gentle, funny, warm soul who loved trains, the rock band Genesis, and going to movies. He frequently wore vintage clothing and sometimes seemed to have been born about 20 years out of his proper time. John was the only person I ever knew who wore fedoras, and he looked good in them....

He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was a 1973 graduate of Ferguson High School.
He is survived by one brother, Michael X. Johnson of Newport News; and two sisters, Juanita Mincey and Denise Johnson, both of Hampton.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the National Cemetery, Hampton University section.

He graduated from Ferguson High School and shortly after moved to Las Vegas, Nevada where he lived for the past 30 years.

He was a graduate of Menchville High School and was also a Corpsman in the Navy. Phillip was a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society at St. Cecelia. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Marianne R.
