It is with great sadness and love that we report the passing of Harold Olson of Calgary.
Harold, born in Saskatoon, attended Caswell Public School and Bedford Road Collegiate, and was a long-time resident of Montgomery Place prior to moving to Calgary. In 1942 Harold joined the Royal Canadian Naval Reserve and served the next 3 1/2 years assigned to the minesweeper "Mulgrave". He was recently awarded the French Legion of Honor Medal for his active part at Omaha Beach on D-Day.

Ray will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 52 years, Sonja (Makow); his daughters Patti and Paula; sister Olga (Dave) Postnikoff and their sons Larry and Davy and their families; brother-in-law Don (Marje) Makow and their son Ryan and his family.

Ray grew up in Saskatoon's west end attending Bedford Road Collegiate and the University of Saskatchewan. In 1966 Ray and his family moved to Regina where he spent the next 30 years working with the federal department of Indian and Northern Affairs.
